Where to Find British Food in Phuket
Yes, I know you’re travelling to Southeast Asia and there’s so much incredible Thai food to enjoy in Phuket. But sometimes you just want a taste of home especially after living or travelling around for a while and that’s okay!
As much as we loved exploring Thai cuisine and trying new dishes, there were definitely days we just wanted something familiar like a Sunday Roast, a full English breakfast or just some comfort food.
The good news is, you can find British food in Phuket and there are quite a few great restaurants (and even a British supermarket) that serve British home comforts!
So if you’re living in Phuket long-term, visiting for a while or just fancy a change from Thai food, here are some suggestions on where you can find British food in Phuket that are worth trying.
Islander Sports Bar & Restaurant – Rawai
87, 24 Wiset Rd, Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand
Arguably one of the best places in Rawai for a proper Sunday Roast. If you’re thinking of going, I would highly recommend going as early as possible because they do sell out. We went one evening around 5pm and everything was pretty much sold out for the day!
For their Sunday Roast dinners, expect the classic options like chicken, beef or pork served with all the trimmings including Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, vegetables, cauliflower cheese and plenty of gravy.
They also serve desserts like apple berry crumble and sticky toffee pudding which definitely hits the spot!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is really relaxed and very popular with expats living in the Rawai area. If you also like watching football, they have various TV screens showcasing different games.

Super Som Restaurant – Rawai
39, 104 Soi Saiyuan, Rawai, Amphoe Mueang Phuket, Phuket 83130, Thailand
This is a cosy little restaurant and hotel located on the main road in Rawai. You will find classic comfort dishes from the UK including pie and mash, full English breakfasts and traditional roast dinners. It’s one of those relaxed spots where you can enjoy a delicious meal, even sit outside and people watch as it’s on a busy street.
The owner is English and his wife is Thai and you can really feel that warm welcoming vibe when you visit. When we first went to visit the owner showed us around the restaurant and even showed us the different fresh pies available to order too.
The Neighbours Café – Phuket Old Town
93 Phangnga Rd, Tambon Talat Yai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83000, Thailand
If you’re exploring Phuket Old Town and craving a full English breakfast, this is a great place to stop.
It’s slightly more on the pricier side compared to some local spots, but you’ll find a proper breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns and toast. They also offer vegetarian options plus dishes like eggs Benedict and other Western brunch favourites.
It’s a nice, cosy café that has a hostel upstairs too and is perfect for a slower morning after wandering around Old Town.

The Tavern – Kata
40/28 soi Malisa Kata, Tambon Karon, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand
The Tavern is another solid choice if you’re looking for classic British comfort food in Phuket. They serve traditional roast dinners along with desserts like apple crumble and other familiar British dishes.
It’s a simple, relaxed place that’s also a sports bar so perfect for those that want to watch a football game too. It is very close to Kata beach so it is a perfect option after a lovely day at the beach.
Fillet Steak Halal – Rawai
1 139 Rawai, เมือง Phuket 83130, Thailand
If you’re looking for a halal option in Phuket that still gives you that proper English breakfast experience, then I would definitely recommend Fillet Steak Halal in Rawai.
They serve a halal full English breakfast which includes chicken ham or chicken bacon alongside the usual breakfast favourites like eggs, sausages, baked beans, toast and all the classic sides. It’s a great option if you want something filling but need halal-friendly choices.
We found the food to be fresh, filling and affordable. It is a great option if you’re staying in the Rawai area and want a hearty start to the day!
The Green Man Pub – Chalong
82, 15 Patak Rd, Rawai, Muang, Phuket 83130, Thailand
A proper British-style pub located in Chalong and definitely one of the more well-known British spots on the island.
Their menu is full of classics including Sunday roasts, all-day English breakfasts, bangers and mash and plenty of comfort meals. The setting and exterior itself feels very traditional and cosy, almost like stepping into a countryside pub back home.
The Breakfast Hut – Rawai
31/33 ซอย ไสยวน Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Chang Wat Phuket 83100, Thailand
If you’re in Rawai and just want an easy, inexpensive English breakfast, this place does exactly what you need.
Expect eggs, sausages, bacon, baked beans, homemade hash browns and even some fruit on the side.
It’s simple, affordable and great if you’re nearby and craving a hearty breakfast.

Fatboys Café – Patong
205 23 Nanai Rd, Pa Tong, Kathu District, Phuket 83150, Thailand
Fatboys Café is another great option in Patong if you’re missing British comfort food.
They serve roast dinners, full English breakfasts, fish and chips and even giant filled Yorkshire puddings. It’s definitely a place to go when you want something hearty and filling after a long day exploring or a night out in Patong.
Food for Foreigners – Rawai
5, 59 Moo 5 Wiset Rd, Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand
If you’re staying in Phuket long-term and find yourself missing cooking British meals at home, I highly recommend visiting Food for Foreigners.
It’s a small but really well-stocked international supermarket where you can find British groceries like gravy mixes, sauces, meats, chocolates, frozen foods (including smiley faces!), drinks and other comfort items that are sometimes hard to find elsewhere on the island.
Perfect if you’re living in Phuket and want to recreate some home recipes yourself. You will pay a premium price for these items as they are imported!

Tops Supermarket – Various Locations
Another great option is visiting Tops supermarket which has a strong international food section. You’ll find a variety of British ingredients and recognisable brands, including products from Waitrose. You’ll find frozen goods, chocolates, sweets, spices, sauces and everyday staples that you can use to recreate meals you’d have back home.
Just keep in mind that you will pay a higher price as they are imported products compared to local Thai groceries, so it’s best for occasional treats or when you’re really craving something familiar from home.
Phuket is full of incredible Thai food and you should absolutely try as much of it as you can, but there’s nothing wrong with craving a taste of home every now and then.
Whether you’re looking for a proper Sunday roast, a full English breakfast or just some classic comfort food, there are plenty of restaurants across Phuket offering British classic dishes that will make you feel right at home.
